Ludwig Güttler grew up in the Sosa Montain region of
East Germany. Music was a part of daily life, and as a
result, Güttler, at 5 years old, was experimenting with
several instruments. He began playing the trumpet at 14,
but had no idea he would enter a muscial career until he
had finished his architecture diploma. The rich musical experience of his youtb is perhaps the cause of Güttler's versatility. In Leipzig he studied voice, piano, and violin along with trumpet. This multifaceted musical experience was integrnted into his performance on the trumpet, resulting in innonative expressions. After his studies, Güttler's career skyrocketed. He became soloist in the Handel Festival Orchestra in Halle and in the Dresden Philharmonic. Since then be has become one of the most sought after trumpet soloists in the world.
